I grew up in a small town in southwest Missouri, and even without a strong design culture, I was always drawn to products, making tangible things, and visual storytelling.
I soon discovered industrial design as a way to approach the human experience from a multidisciplinary-design-amalgamation.
Marie Kondo’s idea of ‘sparking joy’ between a user and their goods drove my initial philosophies.
I’m also driven by my love for nature. You’ll find I’m happiest in the sun, enjoying a walk or hike, and agreeing to any outdoor activity.
That’s why I also look towards design as a way to create sustainable change and preserve our environment.
I can’t always be outside, but...
“If there’s a will, there’s a way!”
So I turned towards plant design and aquascaping as hobbies to bring the outside in. I’ll happily talk about houseplants & fish with you.
Design is simply an opportunity for tangible, creative experimentation in whatever medium. I love being able to learn new things while also creating a level of intentional influence.
I often learn best when collaborating and teaching others, and I hope to learn with you, too.
